About us
Polaris Maritime Services Company (PMSC). was initially established in 2022 in the Republic of Yemen. And as part of its operational expansion, end of 2023, the company extended its presence to the Salalah region, as it has been perceived—together with the Port of Aden—among the key maritime gateways on the Arabian Sea— through its registration in the Sultanate of Oman under the name North Star Marine Services & Investment Company.
Both registered names represent the same business entity. Variation in naming reflects regulatory and registration requirements in each jurisdiction.
North Star Maritime Services Investment Company was established based on an insisting demand that the founders sensed in the maritime domain. In order to consolidate expertise and efforts within a unifies integrated framework enabling professionals to function in harmony and deliver effective solutions tailored meeting clients’ needs.

Brief History
North Star Marine Services & Investment Company was established in 2022 in the Republic of Yemen under the name Polaris Maritime Services Company (PMSC).
As operational requirements expanded a decision was made to extend operations to the Omani market. In 2023, a second branch was established in the Sultanate of Oman under the registered name North Star Marine Services and Investment Company, in compliance with local regulatory and commercial registration requirements.

While NORTH STAR MARINE SERVICES & INVESTMENT COMPANY might be considered recent to the maritime sector; the company shall not be considered fetus in the industry. North Star is a collective of a group of senior marine cadre- including captains, ship masters, marine pilots, marine engineers- whom have been working in the maritime field for decades, brought together in one business platform in an attempt to create professional and efficient support in the maritime industry.
Main Goal
In general practice, maritime services, such as; consultancy and marine surveying, are normally acquired from multiple separate entities. This practice may lead to confusion, duplicated efforts, and unnecessary expenses of time and finance. North Star was established upon a sensed need for efficient and unified maritime services that will release the confusion and the headache off its clients. North Star supports the maritime industry by delivering clear guidance, practical solutions, professional consultancy, and comprehensive maritime service packages, contributing to efficient operations and high-quality outcomes across the region.
